My current research seeks to understand debates on citizenship, theories of nationalism and post/coloniality, decoloniality, and the relationships between culture, communication, economics, and politics. More specifically, I am interested in identities/belonging and the dynamics of in/ex/clusion within societies, as well as the role of communications and cultures in presenting, structuring, and discussing these issues. My recent work focuses on the transformation of identity narratives and the reconfiguration of race, sexuality, and ability in the spectacularization of citizenship in Canada.
